We started our service dog program by outsourcing pups from other breeders or training rescue dogs. They were donated to the veteran by an organization, and although we had some success, it was not ideal. Some dogs simply don’t make the cut. Those dogs were re-homed and we would have to start over from scratch. This is where Freedom Labradors was born.

Fill out our New Puppy application and upon approval we require a non refundable deposit to be added to our up coming litters. Choice pick are based on the order of deposit.

Freedom Labradors partners with Övervaka Vänner to provide service dogs at no charge to eligible recipients. Our team raises and works hands-on with our puppies from birth through placement. We do not use outside puppy raisers, allowing us to guide every stage of their care, socialization and training.

Handler training is generally one-on-one, at locations selected in advance to meet the individual needs of the client and dog. All training tools and equipment for the dog are included.

Our commitment continues throughout the dog’s working life. We provide any retraining needed to maintain a successful working partnership. If a dog becomes unsuitable for service work through no fault of the handler, we provide a replacement service dog at no charge.

Our dogs go on to work in many different fields. From task trained service dogs to search and rescue, we also have many out as comfort dogs for schools and resource officers. Upland bird hunting or just a 4 legged family companion. Our dogs have drive to work and an off switch when it’s time to lay around the house.

Service dogs handlers that train with us though our program get life long support for the working life of their dog.
